Description
Guerilla warfare's not what it used to be!A Simian Ranger patrols the flooded forest. Inspired by Planet of the Apes but brought a bit more up to date with machine gun, grenades and side arm - worn in a shoulder holster to keep it well above the waterline.

your painting style is very smooth, which works particularly well on
metal and smooth surfaces
I think you might want to 'roughen up' your brushstrokes with other materials, like fur and cloth fabrics.
But you have a very distinctive style, so it could be a matter of personal taste

I did a little work on the fur (hair??) and on the cloth. I tried to edit it and republish it but I must be doing something wrong cos I keep getting the original back. Is this the best way to do it or should reworked/edited pictures be shown somewhere else?
I uploaded to DA, here's the link. Hopefully you will see some improvements.

Your image will be stronger with some hair brushes. You can add more ripples to water and you can smudge his reflection but also with this shape, it's fair.
Keep up the good work.
